This is a continuation of how to install a WordPress theme part 1 tutorial.

This way is a little more straight forward and beginner friendly.

Step 1

Login into in your WordPress admin area and go to appearance>themes.

Step 2

You should now be on a page called ‘manage themes’ where you should see a button at the top of the page called ‘add new’.

Step 3

After clicking ‘add new’ click on the ‘upload’ button at the top of the page.

Step 4

Browse your computer files and find the theme file you’ve already downloaded but this time choose the still zipped version. Then click the ‘install now’ button.

Step 5

After a few seconds, the theme should have uploaded and all that’s left to do is activate it. Now your new theme will be live!
